Did you say "Wa Alaykum As Salaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh" ? ...WRONNGGG!!!
The sunnah is to reply back only "Wa Alaykum As Salaam"...Find out here in Hadith of The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم why.

2. But Quraan says:
“When you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or (at least) return it equally.” [al-Nisa’ 4:86].
3. Do not give Wikipedia for hadeeth Islamic references.
